SCR Kenya operates through a well-defined organizational structure designed to ensure accountability, innovation, and grassroots impact. Our team comprises dedicated professionals, volunteers, and community leaders working together to achieve sustainable development in Kilifi, Kwale, Mombasa, Vihiga, Kisii, and Nyamira counties.
The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and ensures alignment with SCR’s mission and vision. Composed of highly experienced professionals and academics in fields such as relief, community development, water technology, health, nutrition, and microenterprise development, the board plays a critical role in decision-making for program planning and implementation. The board meets twice annually and holds ad hoc meetings as needed to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
Our programme staff are experts in their respective fields, holding advanced qualifications in Project Planning and Management, Public Health, Applied Human Nutrition, Agriculture & Livestock Development, Home Economics, and Agricultural Extension. With extensive experience gained locally and internationally, they design and implement impactful programs that address the unique needs of vulnerable communities. Their work is guided by SCR’s core values of integrity, professionalism, transparency, and equity.
SCR Kenya values the contributions of volunteers and interns, who bring fresh perspectives and energy to our programs. We provide mentorship opportunities for young professionals seeking hands-on experience in community development. Interns and volunteers are assigned specific roles based on their skills and interests, with clear Terms of Reference (TORs) and supervision from senior staff. Working terms are flexible and depend on the assignment, location, and available funding.
At the grassroots level, our field officers serve as the backbone of SCR’s operations. They engage directly with communities, implementing projects, conducting trainings, and monitoring progress. Their deep understanding of local contexts ensures that our programs remain relevant, effective, and sustainable.
Behind the scenes, our support staff—including drivers and office assistants—ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations. Their dedication enables the rest of the team to focus on delivering impactful programs and achieving SCR’s goals.
